Irida was born in Argyroupoli and lived for a long time in the back garden of a small shop. She had no roof over her head, lay constantly in the sun and was eventually rejected by her family. When she was found, she was dirty, emaciated and exhausted, a picture of silent suffering.
Today, Irida is barely recognisable. She was one of the first dogs at the shelter and has since become a pillar of strength. With her calm, confident manner, she is like a mother figure who keeps an eye on everything and makes the other dogs feel safe.
Irida is the perfect Labrador. She is intelligent, patient, compassionate and loyal. She understands everything, observes closely and only intervenes when necessary. She keeps the pack balanced and ensures that peace reigns.
She remains at the shelter, where she is loved and respected. Irida is the silent leader who never raises her voice but is always present. A true guardian of the place and a symbol of strength, dignity and gentleness.
