From the streets of Chania to the gentle touch of care. Stelios was found wandering alone and exhausted. Thanks to caring volunteers he underwent hernia surgery, was neutered, and finally found a safe place to recover in our shelter. He clearly enjoyed this experience, and since then it has been clear that Stelios has understood what security means.
Today, he is a calm and balanced dog who appreciates the little things in life. He loves to lie in the garden, enjoy the sun and be petted. He doesn't need much more than that to be happy.
Stelios remains a resident of the shelter and is allowed to spend his twilight years here in peace and safety. However, if someone can be found who would like to give an older, easy-going dog a home, then Stelios would be the ideal companion. He is loving, grateful and simply happy when he is allowed to be with his humans.
